Privacy Policy

KilCard (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a golf scorecard and statistics app (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account. If you use Guest mode, no account is created and your data stays on your device.

Golf data you provide. Scores, rounds, course details, statistics, handicap information, practice notes, and any custom courses you create.

Profile information. An optional display name, bio, and profile photo you choose to add.

Subscription information. If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status but not your payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App, including your scorecards, statistics, and handicap.
To sync your data across your devices (including Apple Watch) and to your home-screen and lock-screen widgets.
To generate AI-powered insights about your game when you request them. When you use an AI feature, your aggregated golf statistics are sent to our processing service to produce the insight.
To power the Coach chat and swing analysis features. When you ask the Coach a question, your message is sent to our AI processing service. When you use swing analysis (a Pro feature), still images (frames) extracted on your device from the golf swing video you upload are sent to our AI processing service to generate feedback. We do not upload or store the original video file on our servers.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To provide customer support and respond to your requests.

How Your Information Is Stored and Shared

We use the following service providers to operate the App:

Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) — securely stores your account and golf data in the cloud.
Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In — used to authenticate you.
Our AI processing service (Anthropic) — when you request an AI summary, insight, Coach answer, or swing analysis, the relevant data — your aggregated golf statistics, your chat messages, or still frames extracted from a swing video you upload — is sent over a secure connection to generate the response. Anthropic's usage policies apply to these interactions.
Apple — processes subscription purchases.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete Account), which permanently removes your account and its associated data. You may also contact us to request deletion.

Your Choices

Use Guest mode to keep your data on your device only.
Edit or remove your profile information and saved courses at any time.
Delete your account and data from within the App.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and the security features of Google Firebase, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

Your information may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
